Apple was supposed to ship its iPhone SDK that allows developers to create third-party applications for the iPhone by the end of February. The deadline has passed, however Apple is only a week late. Apple will hold a “town hall” meeting on Thursday March 6th at its headquarters in Cupertino to introduce the SDK.
Apple plans to reveal many new “enterprise-friendly” applications and features. One of them is rumoured to be Salesforce Mobile. Salesforce Mobile is a Salesforce.com application that you can install on your mobile device, so that you don’t need to use a browser to get to your Salesforce.com account.
This is not final yet, we will know on Thursday. We’ll keep you posted.
Update: This isn’t actually news, it has been discussed for a while, but I guess I was just trying to point out that we might get confirmation on Thursday.
