This is a very quick post. Reuters and Yahoo are reporting that Yahoo, Time Warner are closing in on an AOL deal.

I just read this and I only have one thing to add…. remember when Time Warner and AOL merged? Not exactly the most profitable investment of our time. It seems as though whenever Time and AOL touch anything, it falls apart. In fact, I’ve always thought AOL never knew how to keep ahead of the curve and were never able to keep up with their competitors. Now we’re seeing Yahoo slowly going downhill, and to make things worse the “midas” touch of AOL is coming to help. I hope the same ugly fate doesn’t fall upon good old Yahoo!  (or maybe it’s already too late)
